We’re waking up in the west to the benefits of yoga for our children.  The physical aspects of yoga help develop a child’s sense of self and co-ordination, whilst meditation and mindfulness techniques prepare children for dealing with stress later in life. At Hilltop, we offer a more movement focused class for 4 – 11 years olds and use dynamic storytelling, song and rhyme to engage with children and guide them through many yogic practices in an adventurous and imaginative way. Interwoven within these stories lie basic universal principles that lay a moral foundation from which children learn to navigate and integrate in this world.
