I started practicing yoga in 2002 but really only dipped in and out to start with, never properly connecting with the practice. It wasn’t until some years later, when I came back to it at a very pivotal point in my life, that I really found that essential connection. I was immediately hooked, drawn to the way yoga nourished not only my body but also my mind. Having explored and loved a number of different yoga styles, it was Vinyasa Flow that resonated most. Although the same asanas that feature in other styles are practiced, I love the creativity that comes with vinyasa flow – the flexibility to combines and structure sequences and classes at the discretion of the teacher. As my practice intensified, I knew I wanted to take it deeper and that I wanted to teach. I trained and qualified with Yoga London in 2015 and haven’t looked back. I offer beginners and intermediate flow classes and like to structure them either thematically – exploring concepts, ideas and thoughts – or anatomically – focusing on a different areas of the body to work, open and release. Music is very important to me in my classes, I adore creating new playlists and have a bit of a weakness for West African music I am in my happy place in a studio – be it on a yoga mat or with a camera in my hand – so the opportunity to establish Hilltop Studio has been a complete dream for me. If you don’t find me here, you’ll find me chasing after two much cuter, mini-versions of myself. Watch out Muswell Hill!
